Growing up in a photographer’s household, I watched my dad vanish into the darkroom for what felt like days, only to emerge with images that seemed to materialize like magic. It’s no surprise, then, that I caught the photo bug early on—spending countless summers “fishing” with a camera borrowed from him, drawn to the thrill of capturing life through a lens.
Photography has always been more than just taking pretty pictures. No matter where my travels have taken me, I’ve been struck by the profound beauty that exists all around us. My goal has always been to preserve those fleeting, breathtaking moments—those scenes that make you pause, just for a second.
Before all this, I was a rock and roll drummer and disc jockey through the late ’60s and ’70s, which naturally sparked a lifelong love of music. That influence runs through some of my photography—and through the work of many of the talented friends I’ve had the privilege to show alongside.
After a long and successful career in radio—on the air, in sales, and in management—I founded [Woodstock Media Group / On-Hold Concepts, Inc.], now nearly 45 years strong. We’re proud to be industry leaders, providing on-hold and in-store messaging and music to businesses of every kind.
These days, I’m still chasing light and inspiration. Traveling to new places, exploring fresh perspectives, and letting my creativity run wild in the post-design process—it’s a joy that’s never lost its spark.
In the spring of 2021, I opened the Woodstock Gallery right here in Gig Harbor, Washington, just a short stroll from our home, where I live with my wife and our son. The gallery may be small, but it’s full of heart, showcasing both my work and that of fellow artists whose creativity I admire.
I hope you’ll stop by for a visit. Just search for Woodstock Gallery, Gig Harbor. We’d love to see you!
